Compensation

This role as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II in Canton, GA, offers a competitive compensation package starting at $34.20/hr for 1st Shift Training. Additional differentials of $2/hr for Weekday Nights and $2.50/hr for Weekend Nights highlight our commitment to recognizing and rewarding flexibility in scheduling. The Job

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and maintenance of heavy machinery within UAC's aerospace manufacturing facility. This involves troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conducting fabrication and welding tasks, and performing routine and preventive maintenance. Your contribution directly impacts the efficiency of our operations, supporting the production of high-quality aerospace products.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced and skilled professional with a minimum of 5 years' expertise as a heavy industrial millwright and maintenance mechanical technician, particularly in welding and fabricating (SMAW, MIG, and TIG). A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference given to additional training or certifications in industrial maintenance. Strong communication skills, the ability to read mechanical blueprints, and proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems are crucial. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to safety and be adaptable to a flexible schedule.

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a heavy industrial millwright and maintenance mechanical technician, with a specific focus on welding and fabricating (SMAW, MIG, and TIG). Relevant certifications, including aerial lift, confined spaces, crane, fall protection, forklift, hot workers, lock-out/tag-out, and pallet jack, are required. Additional training or diplomas in industrial maintenance are preferred.
