Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Large Group Client Manager position at Employee Benefits in Maryland (EBS) is a seasoned professional with three to five plus years of experience in the benefits industry, demonstrating a robust understanding of both fully insured and self-insured plans, ancillary lines, and current legislation. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is required, along with a valid Maryland Life and Health license. The candidate should possess exceptional organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capability to prioritize tasks efficiently, handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills enable the candidate to interact effectively with individuals of varying levels of authority, including employees, key contacts, and executives. Job Summary

The Client Manager partners with the Benefit Consultant and our clients to assist them with their annual renewal process, cross-sell opportunities and possible options that would enhance or meet the goals of the client. The end product of this partnership is intended to add value to the client, enabling the client to be competitive in their own industry. Client Managers must contribute to and flourish in a team environment, learn and exemplify the Collaborative Way, and engage in regular professional development.

Experience

For the Large Group Client Manager position, candidates need a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and three to five years of relevant benefits industry experience, including knowledge of insured and self-insured plans, ancillary lines, and current legislation. A valid Maryland Life and Health license is crucial. Preferred candidates have a background in benefits consulting or insurance brokerage, with experience in account management and client relationships. Understanding employee benefits intricacies is highly beneficial for success in this role.
